Joseph F. Hofmann
of St. Petersburg, Florida

Joseph F. Hofmann, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010 peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was the beloved husband of 57 years to Charlotte; loving father of Susan (Lawrence) Ellen, Joseph (Catherine) Hofmann, Lee Hofmann, Lynn (Robert) Michal, Alan (Melody) Hofmann, William (Nancy) Hofmann; loved grandfather of eight and great-grandfather of one; dear brother of Diane (Roger) Tardif and James (Donna) Hofmann.

Joseph was a graduate of the University of Illinois and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Commonwealth Edison as Division Superintendent. He was a Past Commander of St. Petersburg Sail and Power Squadron and is a member of the St. Petersburg Yacht Club.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, July 9th at 12:00 PM with a memorial visitation from 4 to 8 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Education Fund of the St. Petersburg Sail and Power Squadron or Suncoast Hospice.
