Anita A. Swanson
Of Arlington Heights

Anita A. Swanson was born January 19, 1917 in Chicago to John and Katherine Leverington. She died Monday, June 21, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Before retiring Mrs. Swanson worked in the office with her husband at Swan Electric and was a lifetime member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Northbrook.

Anita is survived by her children Sandra J. (Dennis) Hayek, Robert H. (Nina) Swanson, and Pamela E. (Bill) O’Neill; her grandchildren, Brent R. (Michele) Hayek, Jeffrey S. (Shelby) Hayek and Nicholas H. Swanson; her great grandchildren Ethan, Elyse, Thomas, Tyler, Nathaniel and Nicolas; her sister Florence Leverington and her nieces Judy LeDuc, Sharon Ferdinand and Carmen Wicklund.

Anita is preceded in death by her husband Harold and her sister Janet LeDuc.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights and from 10:00 AM until time of funeral service at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 25, 2010 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 1133 Pfingsten Rd., Northbrook. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
