Mercedes R. Fulstick
Of Schaumburg, formerly of Buffalo Grove and Wheeling
Mercedes R. Fulstick was born July 10, 1918 in Chicago to Patrick and
Elizabeth (nee DeBaets) Fitzgerald. She died Saturday at Holy Family
Medical Center in Des Plaines.
Mrs. Fulstick worked as a telephone office clerk in Chicago, the
Internal Revenue Service, Leaf Brand Candy Company in the office, and
worked at various other companies doing office work. Mercedes was a
member of Resurrection Parish, on the west side of Chicago for 49 years.
She loved her family, especially her grandchildren, loved to visit with
her friends and was loved by all.
She is survived by her children, William H.(Doris) Fulstick, Jr.,
Elizabeth Fulstick, and Mary Pat (Gerald) Fulstick-Egner; her
grandchildren Stephanie Fulstick, Thomas Egner and Kelly Fulstick;
cherished aunt to Sheldon G. (Kathleen) Gilbert, Richard (Jeanne)
Rosenquist and James Rosenquist; loving great aunt to many.
She was preceded in death by William H. Fulstick, whom she married on
May 29, 1948 in Chicago; her sister Patricia Mierke; her brother Gerald
Fitzgerald; and her brother-in-law George Mierke.
Visitation Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks
south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Thursday, June 17, 2010 at
St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights, from 9:00 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM.
Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to: St. Edna
Food Pantry, c/o St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Hts. Rd.,
