Michael Schlesak was born on April 20, 1928 to Michael and Theresa (Koscher) Schlesak in Somber, Yugoslavia. He passed away on June 11, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Michael is survived by his wife of 58 years, Maria (nee Wenzl) Schlesak; his sons, Guenther (Ellen) Schlesak and Herbert (Jennifer) Schlesak; his granddaughter, Kristen Caroline Schlesak; his siblings, John (Marie) Schlesak and Theresa (Georg) Singer.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Sunday, June 13, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Monday, June 14, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Saint Mary Parish, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at Saint Mary Church Cemetery.
