Catherine Demski
Of Schaumburg
Catherine Demski was born on May 6, 1915 in Chicago to Peter and Mary
(nee Bergthal) Oesterreicher. She died on June 26, 2009 in Schaumburg.
Mrs. Demski was a member of the Geographical Society and a lover of
theater and music.
Catherine is survived by her stepsons, Edward R. (Patricia) Demski of
Sun City West, AZ and Donald R. (Marlene) Demski of Arlington Heights;
her six step-grandchildren; her nine step-great-grandchildren; her step
great-great grandchild; and her sister, Theresa Campbell
She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Demski, whom she married
in May of 1957 in Chicago; her parents; her brothers, Frank and Claude
Oesterreicher; and her brother-in-law, Burdette Campbell.
Visitation Monday, June 29, 2009 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the
Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks
south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM Tuesday, June
30, 2009 at the funeral home to St James Church, 831 N. Arlington
Heights Rd., Arlington Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St.
Joseph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the
Alzheimer’s Association of Greater Chicago, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite
800, Chicago, IL 60631.
