Joan A. Paul
of Des Plaines
Joan A. Paul was born May 4, 1917 in Chicago to Anthony and Esther (nee
Smietanka) Glenicki. She passed away peacefully Monday, June 22, 2009 at
The Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights.
She is survived by a son, Nicholas (Kathy) Paul; her daughter, Patricia
(Robert) Wamsley; her five grandchildren and one great–grandchild; her
sister, Mary Behun; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Marion; her son, Gregory; her
daughter, Jennifer; and her sister, Priscilla Weclew.
Visitation Thursday June 25, 2009 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM at the Glueckert
Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of
Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights and Friday, June 26, 2009 from 10:00 AM
until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N.
Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Shriners
Hospital, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60635 or Lutheran Home &
Services, 800 W. Oakton St., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
