Jean Fortriede
Burns
Longtime Resident Of
Arlington Heights
Jean Burns was born
on October 23, 1921
to Albert and Minnie
Fortriede in Fort
Wayne, Indiana. She
died at the
Claremont in Buffalo
Grove on June 16,
2009.
Jean received a
Masters Degree in
Chemistry from
Purdue University.
She was employed by
the New York
Hospital, New York,
NY, as a Chemist.
She retired in 1980
and enjoyed many
years of gardening.
She was a member of
the Arlington
Heights Garden Club,
former president, as
well as a member of
the A.A.U.W.
Jean is survived by
her son Cameron
(Mary) Burns of
Buffalo Grove; her
daughter, Susie
Moore of Rockford;
her six
grandchildren, Jason
(Lacey), Kevin and
Kyle Burns, and
Becky, Tommy and
Timmy Moore.
Jean was preceded in
death by her parents
and husband Thomas
Burns.
Services and
Interment are
private.
