Franciszek “Frank” Jagusiak

Franciszek “Frank” Jagusiak, was born December 14, 1917, to Jan and Zofia Jagusiak in Chorzenice, Poland. He died June 8, 2009 at Hines Veterans Hospital.

He was employed as a machinist at Miele,Goss, and Dexter from 1957 to 1976 and Rockwell International from 1976 to 1985. .

As a World War II Veteran he served from 1936 to 1942 in the 1st Polish Armored Division where he received the Cross For Valor and the Army Medal. From 1942 to 1949 he served under the British Command and received the France and Germany Star and the 1939-1945 Star. He was active in the D-Day Invasion of Normandy .

Survivors include his wife Alda (nee Jarocinska); his sons Andrew and Mark (Mary) Jagusiak and step-sons of Vitold and Mariusz Napiorkowski; his grandchildren Julie Radford and Mike Jagusiak .

Frank is preceded in death by his first wife Anna.

Visitation from 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Funeral service 12 PM, Saturday, June 132, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
