Iluminada Leon was born on December 27, 1928 in Cuba to Stephen and Paulina Gil. She passed away on June 9, 2009 in Arlington Heights.
Iluminada is survived by her daughter, Maria (Ervin) Chovanec of Arlington Heights; her son, Diego Leon Jr of Arlington Heights; and her grandsons, Eric, Robert and Steven Chovanec.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Diego Leon Sr.
Visitation Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Prayer service 10:00 AM Friday, June 12, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Interment at Mayhill Cemetery.
