Of Arlington Heights
Jacqueline Theresa Higgins was born November 16, 1928 in Chicago to Joseph and Pearl (nee Zielinski) Kurzer. She died June 8, 2009 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Mrs. Higgins enjoyed spending time with her family , teaching English as a second language and volunteering for a variety of community organizations.
Jacqueline is survived by her husband Richard D. “Dick” Higgins and by her children Mary Ann (Robert) Ogilvie, Monica Kallas, Maureen Schorsch, Kathy (Neil) Schorsch and Martin (Twila) Schorsch; her stepchildren William F. (Vanessa) Higgins, Elizabeth A. (Edward) Huguez and Nancy H. (Fredric) Ashenbrenner; 23 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren and by her siblings Marilyn (late Raymond) Rogers, Raymond Kurzer, and Lillian (John) Kelly.
She is preceded in death by her sister Lorraine (late Russ) Hall and Joseph (Diane) Kurzer and by her parents.
Memorial visitation Thursday, June 11, 2009 from 3PM until time of service at 8 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Interment private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Northwest Community Healthcare Foundation, 3060 Salt Creek Lane, Suite #110, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
