Of Arlington Heights
Kevin Finnerty was born April 30, 1963 in Park Ridge to John J. Jr. and Patricia (nee Barnes) Finnerty. He died June 3, 2009 in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Finnerty was an Artist. He graduated from Northern Illinois University where he received a BFA in Art. His work can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the United States, Europe and South Africa. Some of his commissions include The University of Chicago, The John G. Shedd Aquarium, Navistar International, The Hilton Chicago and Towers, and the Museum of Science and Industry. He is a member of the Chicago Pastel Painters, Cape Cod Pastel Society, and is a signature member of the Midwest Pastel Society.
Kevin survived by his children Bridgit Murphy Finnerty and Pierce McGetrick Finnerty; his parents; and his siblings John J. (Julie) Finnerty III, Colleen Frances (Christopher) Blevins and Patrick Own (Angie) Finnerty.
Kevin was preceded in death by his wife Patricia Claire (nee Murphy) Finnerty; his son Garrett Finnerty.
Visitation from 12 PM until 8 PM, Monday June 8, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass 9:30 AM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights. Private family interment following Funeral Mass.
