Of Arlington Heights
Garrett James Finnerty was born September 23, 1997 in Evanston to Kevin and Patricia (nee Murphy) Finnerty. He died June 2, 2009 in Arlington Heights.
Garret was a 5th grader to graduate from Westgate Elementary School in Arlington Heights. He enjoyed playing baseball in the Arlington Heights Youth Athletic Association and Scouting. He recently had flown up from Cub Scout Pack 130 to Boy Scout Troop 159. He also enjoyed swimming and playing video games.
Garrett is survived by his siblings Bridget Murphy Finnerty and Pierce McGetrick Finnerty; his grandparents Peter J. Murphy and John J., Jr. and Patricia (nee Barnes) Finnerty; his aunts Jennifer (Jerry Cazares) Murphy-Cazares, Kathleen Ritter, Colleen Frances (Christopher) Blevins and John J. (Julie) Finnerty III and Patrick Owen (Angie) Finnerty;
Garrett is joins by his parents Kevin and Patricia (nee Murphy) Finnerty, his grandparents John J. Finnerty, Jr. and Barbara J. (nee McGetrick) Murphy.
Visitation Monday June 8, 2009 from 12 PM until 8 PM, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass 9:30 AM, Tuesday June 9, 2009 at Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights. Private family interment.
