Ben L. Scaduto
Of Buffalo Grove

Benedict L. “Ben” Scaduto, a 40 year resident of Buffalo Grove was born June 21, 1933 in Bronx, New York to Sebastian and Matilda Scaduto. He died May 31, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Scaduto was a tailor by trade and was with Hart Schaffner and Marx for many years. He later joined Irv’s Clothing where he had an ownership interest in the shoe and tailoring division. He served in the Army during the Korean War.

His survivors include his wife of 47 years, Rita Marie, nee Marchese; his children Lorraine (Randy) Bachand of Chicago, Ben (Caryn) Scaduto of Lake Zurich AnnMarie (Marc) Doran of Ramsey, New Jersey and Anthony Scaduto of Charleston, South Carolina; his grandchildren Patrick, Benny, Kelly, Dominic, Marc, Samantha, Jenna and Gianna; his beloved nieces and nephews; his siblings Sylvia (John) Orlino, Anthony (Lorraine) Braccio, Lorraine (Jimmy) Westgate; and his many friends.

Ben is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Phyllis (Louis) Faiella and brother Joseph Braccio.

Visitation from until 3:00 until 9:00 PM, Friday, June 5, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM, Saturday, June 6, 2009 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Parish 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM. Burial at St. Mary Parish Cemetery.
