Of Arlington Heights
Mary Frances Nichols was born on September 9, 1929 in North Salem, IN to William F. and Edith J (nee Cook) Nichols. She passed away on May 16, 2009 in Arlington Heights.
Mary was raised in North Salem, Ind., before earning her nursing degree and pursuing a 30-year career as an operating room nurse. Before retiring because of failing sight, she was the Chief Surgical Nurse at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. Mary loved her family, her home and her travels.
She is survived by her twin sister Harriet (David) Kluxdal of Cumming, Ga.; her nieces Mary Jo (James) Nathan of Chicago, Carolyn (Todd) Renner of Suwanee, Ga., and Beverly (Bruce) Kramer of Sandy Springs, Ga.; and her six great nephews, Daniel, Matthew, James and Jonathan Kramer and Benjamin and Samuel Renner.
Memorial service 11:00 AM Saturday, June 6, 2009 at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 200 S. Wille St., Mt. Prospect.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association or the Chicago Lighthouse for the Blind would be deeply appreciated.
