Chester R. Frankiewicz
Of Arlington Heights

Chester R. Frankiewicz was born June 25, 1922 in Chicago to Julian and Maria (nee Babicz) Frankiewicz. He passed away on June 22, 2008 in Des Plaines.

Chester was a WWII Army veteran having served in the 29th Field Artillery Battalion of the 3rd Infantry Division. He was also an active member of St. Alphonsus Ligouri Church.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Anne (nee Podraza); his children, Casey (Linda) Frankiewicz of Gurnee, Cathy (Matt) Zakula of Walkertown, NC, Chuck (Teri) Frankiewicz of Arlington Heights, Cindy (Cam) Nisbet of Arlington Heights, Tony (Laura) Frankiewicz of Glenview and Anita (Ken) Chapman of Mt. Prospect; his 17 grandchildren and his sister, Sophie (the late William) Seremak of Lombard.

He was preceded in death by his parents and seven of his siblings.

Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 9:15 AM Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Alphonsus Church, 411 N. Wheeling Road, Prospect Heights for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment St. Adalbert Cemetery, Niles
