Carol Anne Owen
Of Arlington Heights
Carol Anne Owen was born
on April 21, 1955 in
Chicago to Eugene F. and
Lucille A. (nee Ballan)
Hanson. She passed away
on June 19, 2008 in
Skokie after a
courageous battle with
ovarian cancer.
Since 1998, Carol has
been a LD/BD classroom
teacher for Community
Consolidated School
District 15. She earned
recognition as a
National Board Certified
Teacher. Prior
experiences include her
work as a Chicago area
field-based coordinator
and a Student Teaching
Supervisor for Illinois
State University and her
work as a classroom
teacher for special
needs children in
Illinois schools in
Pekin, Peoria and
Lincoln.
Carol is survived by her
husband of 29 years,
Robbin; her children,
Shannon of Chicago, Dane
of Hanover, NH and
Brandon of Arlington
Heights; her mother,
Lucille Hanson of
Norridge; her sisters,
Catherine (John) Marchak
of Des Plaines, Donna
(Jim) Connelly of Park
Ridge and Mary (Steve)
Danikowski of Palm
Harbor, FL; her
brothers, Tom (Leigh
Ann) Hanson of Bartlett
and Dennis (Sherry)
Hanson of Tinley Park.
She was preceded in
death by her father,
Eugene Hanson.

until 8:00 PM Sunday,
June 22, 2008 at the
Glueckert Funeral Home,
