Visitation for Edith E. Salas, 86, will be from 3:00 PM until the time of a funeral service at 7:00 PM, Sunday, June 11, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (four blocks south of Palatine Road),
Arlington Heights. Interment is private.
Born May 23, 1920 in Oak Park, she died Thursday, June 8, 2006, at Northwest
Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.
Edith was a graduate of Oak Park-River Forest High School, class of 1938.
She worked for ten years as a Medical Technologist at West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park before retiring in 1953 to be a full-time mother.
She was the beloved mother of Lesley, Cheryl, and Karen, and cool "gam" to Michelle and Dustin Zell and Iris and Rafael Gonzalez, and the former wife of Dr. Amado A. Salas
