Dolores M. Staat was born in Elk Grove Township on October 9, 1927 to Alfred and Sophie (nee Boergener) Goebbert. She passed away May 31, 2006 in Arlington Heights.
Dolores was a devoted grandmother who enjoyed crosstitching and various crafts. She loved birds and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, William, her children, Karen Staat of Cape Girardeau, MO, Douglas (Becky) Staat of Crystal Lake and Laurnell (Ken) Krueger of Lake in the Hills, her grandchildren, Michelle, Michael, Heidi and Mariah, her great-grandchildren, Michael Jr. and Jerilyn, her brother, Alfred (Joanne) Goebbert of Arlington Heights and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Brian and her sister, Marian Scharringhausen.
Funeral service 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Visitation Monday, June 5, 2006 from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at Church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peter Church or the St. Peter Radio Broadcast Fund, 111 W. Olive Street, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
