Sadayuki "Suds" Mouri
Of Arlington Heights
Sadayuki "Suds" Mouri died on June 14, 2005 in Arlington Heights,
Illinois. He was born on May 27, 1921 In Watsonville, California.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 18, 2005
at First United Methodist Church, Arlington Heights, 1903 East Euclid
Ave. Arlington Heights.
Suds attended San Jose State University until his education was
interrupted when he was placed in the Hart Mountain Relocation Center at
the beginning of World War II. Sponsored by the Quakers, he finished his
education at the University of Kansas City (Missouri). After graduation
he was drafted into the army and served in the G-2 unit under Gen.
Douglas McArthur as an interpreter. After the war he married Martha
Nitao on October 6, 1946. Suds was a Bursar for the University of Kansas
City (Missouri), Business Manager of Chicago Theological Seminary and
Vice president of business administration at Garrett
Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, Illinois before retiring
in 1986.
He is a member of First United Methodist Church in Arlington Heights.
Suds Served as Board Member and Treasurer of the Kobe College
Corporation and as Board Member of the Pension Board of the Northern
Illinois Conference of the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Mouri; sons, Dennis (Linda)
Frische-Mouri and David (Sharon) Mouri; brothers, George and Frank Mouri;
sisters, Mary Moon, Clara Ozaki, and Mimi Tanaka; grandchildren, Paul
and Sarah Frische-Mouri, and Emily and Wesley Mouri; many nephews and
nieces.
