Lucille A. Groth was born on May 16, 1920 in Chicago to John and Mary (nee Hefler) Hofmeister. She died peacefully Friday, May 31, 2013 in Arlington Heights.

Lucille worked as a Home Executive in her own home. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.

Lucille is survived her children, Mary Lou (Bob) Lee, Carol (Timothy) McClaughry, and Patricia (Arthur) McKay; grandchildren, Jennifer (Scott) Manzara, Michael (Carrie) Lee, Carrie (Mike) Gardner, and Lori Marek; great-grandchildren Jackson, Abbie, Katie, Ben, McKenna, Morgan, Calvin, Keegan and Logan.

She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph Groth; her parents; siblings, Raymond Hofmeister and Marie Kelley.

Visitation Thursday, June 6, 2013 from 9:00 am until the 10:00 am Funeral Mass at St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL. Interment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Mercy Home for Boys and Girls, 1140 West Jackson Boulevard, Chicago. IL 60607.
