Helen M. Malocha was born on May 24, 1922 in Chicago to Alex and Mary (nee Lipski) Nowik. She died Monday, May 20, 2013 in Arlington Heights.

Helen was an avid cook and seamstress. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Arlington Heights. Helen loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and was loved by all.

Helen is survived by her daughter, Barbara M (Gerald A.) Kmiecik; Grandchildren, Daniel J. and Kara N. Kmiecik; and many other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Malocha Jr.; daughter Donna M. McKeague; and parents; siblings Chester Nowik, Lorretta Branda, and Eugene Nowik

Visitation from 9:00 am until 10:30 am, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Prayers 10:30 am, Friday, May 24, 2013, at the funeral home, proceeding to St. James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004 for a 11:00 am Funeral Mass. Entombment at St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Lutheran Home for the Aged, 800 West Oakton, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
