Joe Bernat

Joe Bernat was born on April 14, 1981 in Arlington Heights to Marc and Helen (nee Pohlmann) Bernat.

Joe worked as a Packaging Engineer for Emerson Industrial Automation in Florence, Kentucky. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity. Joe loved to work out, travel and spend time with his family and friends. He was loved by all.

Joe is survived by his parents Marc and Helen Bernat; sister and best friend, Nicole Bernat; aunts and uncles, Peg (Joe) Valenta, Barb (Pat) Thompson, Chuck (Leila) Bernat, Mary Ellen (Kim) Smelser, Jennifer (Tim) Kilfoy, Chris (Kay) Bernat, Tim (Nicole) Bernat; grandparents Raymond and Catherine Pohlmann; many cousins; and the true love of his life, Pamela Kwasney.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Charles J. and Mary Regina Bernat.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Thursday, May 23, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Funeral Mass 9:30 am, Friday, May 24, 2013 at Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60005. Interment is private.
