Susan L. Glueckert
Of Arlington Heights

Sue Glueckert was born on November 3, 1951 in Evanston to Robert Tatum and Louise Virginia (nee Hertting) Luedeking. She died Friday, May 17, 2013 at her home.

Sue was a longtime employee of the Arlington Heights Park District starting in 1975 and working both full and part time through 2006. She served as a volunteer in many organizations throughout her life including Frontier Days, Inc. (member since 1976, including Co-Chair of Main Stage), Olive Mary Stitt PTA (1989-2000), Hersey High School Post Prom Co-Chair (2000 - 2007), and ACE Cheerleading (2000 - 2007). She also received a Distinguished Service Award for her volunteer service at High School District 214 in 2007. Sue worked tirelessly behind the scenes as a very organized volunteer, never seeking the credit, only the end result.

Susan is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jim Glueckert whom she married March 22, 1980; her children, Betsy (Matt) Sniegowski, Tom Glueckert, and Katie (Josh) Damjanovic; her brother, Peter (Anne) Luedeking; and her step-mother Martha Luedeking.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral service and interment are private.
