Stuart Stevenson
Longtime resident of Arlington Heights

Stuart Stevenson was born December 17, 1923 in Paisley, Scotland to Robert and Jessie (nee Patteson) Stevenson. He died May 2, 2013 in Elk Grove Village.

Stuart was a veteran of WWII serving in the Navy in the Pacific Front. He was a member of Carpenters Union for over 50 years. He retired from Coleman Flooring of Rolling Meadows where he worked for 35 years. He was an avid golfer. Stuart was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Stuart is survived by his children, Stuart M. Stevenson, Barbara (the late Michael) Hallinan, Suanne (Sal) Bongiovanni, Shane Stevenson, and Barry (Rondya) Stevenson; his grandchildren, Michele, Melisa, Beth (Adam), Megan, Susan, Katie, Joey, Jenna, Jeffrey, Elliott, James, Madeline and Jenelle; his great grandchildren, Brendan, Taylor, Nicole, Jordan, Jacob, Nicholas, Breanna, Justin, Riley and Natalie; his sister, Euphemia Straper.

Stuart is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth “Betty” Stevenson (nee Jackson); his sons Gordon and Brian Stevenson; his brothers, Edward and Robert Stevenson; and his parents.

Visitation from 3 until 8 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM, Monday, May 6, 2013 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM. Burial at Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
