Denise Mary Bokar
Of Arlington Heights, formerly of Greenbelt, Maryland

Denise Mary Bokar was born on March 24, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY to Joseph and Rosemarie Mangialardi. She passed away on April 30, 2013 in Des Plaines.

Denise attended North End Elementary School, Greenbelt Junior High, Parkdale High School and the University of Maryland, College Park. She was the Communication Director for Pampered Chef, Limited. She was a devoted wife and loved to spend time with her husband Ken and her cats. She was loved by all.

Denise is survived by her husband, Ken, whom she married October 4, 1980 in the University of Maryland Chapel in College Park, Maryland; her sister, Lisa A. (Paul) Takemoto; her sister-in-law, Lynn Parker; her nieces, Tiffany (Ryan) Gard and Molly Takemoto; her nephew, Benjamin Takemoto; and her special friends, rescue cats, Boswell, Guinnivere, and Sam.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation Friday, May 3, 2013 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 North Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road), Arlington Heights where a prayer service will be held at 5:30 pm. Interment will be at Pilottown Cemetery in Lewes, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Staar Animal Rescue, P.O. Box 68224, Schaumburg, IL 60168.
