Catherine Lois Fritz was born on January 8, 1915 in St. Paul, Minnesota to Louis and Clara (nee Atkinson) Schumann. She died Monday, May 21, 2012 in Des Moines, Iowa.

Catherine is survived by children, Warren (Marti) Fritz and Cheryl (Greg) Long; her grandchildren, Elizabeth (Terry) Towery, Brian (Rebecca) Fritz, Stewart (Kirsten) Fritz, Andrew (Ashlee) Fritz and Nathan Long; and her great-grandchildren, Gordon Fritz-Jennings, Robin Fritz-Jennings, Henry Towery and Milo Fritz.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Louis R. Fritz; her daughter, Lois Jean Fritz; and her grandson, David Adam Long.

Visitation from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm, Thursday, May 24, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights and Friday, May 25, 2012 from 9:00 Am until the time of services at 10:00 AM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Acacia Park Cemetery.
