Carl M. Behrens Jr.
Of Prospect Heights

Carl M. Behrens Jr. was born on December 5, 1916 in Chicago to Carl M. Sr. and Selma (nee Heimann) Behrens. He passed away quietly on Saturday, May 12, 2012 at his home in Prospect Heights.

He served as a pilot in the Army Air Force during World War II. Owned and operated C.M. Behrens Real Estate and Insurance Co. “Judge” Behrens was Justice of the Peace in Arlington Heights for ten years. He served as President of the Chamber of Commerce in Arlington Heights, Director of the N.W. Suburban Real Estate Board and was a member of the Lions Club. Carl was a pillar of the Arlington Community.

Carl is survived by his sons, Carl M. Behrens III and Todd R. Behrens; his daughter, Jennifer B. Kelly; his grandchildren, Jaci Spellmen, Michael Behrens, Kimberly Purdy, Charlie Minor, Melissa Killiam and Todd Behrens; and his 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Annabelle J. Behrens.

Services and interment will be held privately.
