Jane A. Shoemaker
Of Arlington Heights

Jane A. Shoemaker (nee Madigan), age 82, beloved wife of William B. for 57 years, passed away at home after a long battle with cancer surrounded by her loving family.

She was devoted to her children, Carol (James) Schuster, Linda (John) Turner, Sharon (Patrick) Muller, Barbara (Edgar) Watson, and Margaret "Peggy" Shoemaker; and her grandchildren, Laura, Jeff, Jessica, Kristen, Scott, Michael, Steven, and Grace. She will be missed by her brothers, John M. and William Madigan; and her sister-in-law, Doris Goodale and their families.

She was an active participant in the activities of St. Edna Parish, Guild 3, Ministry of Care and Sharing Coffee. She enjoyed all events of life; holidays, birthdays, vacation trips, and gathering with many friends and families.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd. (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.), Arlington Heights, and in state from 9:00 am Thursday, May 10, 2012 until the time of Mass at 10:00 am, at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Hts. Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
