Fred J. Riedl
Of Arlington Heights

Fred J. Riedl was born on October 31, 1923 in Cicero to Jordan and Marie (nee Schober) Riedl. He died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at home.

He was a member of the Men's Bible class and senior ministry at St. Peter. Mr. Riedl was a chemical engineer in the research department at UOP from 1947 until his retirement in 1986.

Fred is survived by his spouse of 52 years, Elsie (nee Meyr) Riedl; his sons, Jordan (Julie) Riedl and Rick Riedl; his grandchildren, Jessica A. Riedl, Jacob J. Riedl, and Jaclyn A. Riedl; and his siblings, H. Edwin (Dorothy) Riedl and Trudy (Rev. Paul) Goetting.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation is from 3PM until 7PM, Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. In State 10AM, Monday, May 7, 2012 until time of funeral service 11AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St., Arlington Heights, Illinois. Entombment will take place at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to St. Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive, Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
