Josephine B. Gilio was born March 2, 1922 in Chicago to Frank and Josephine Messina. She passed away on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 at The Moorings Health Center in Arlington Heights.
Josephine enjoyed music, dancing, her family and friends, and lived her life to the fullest.
She is survived by her husband, Rocco Gilio; her children, Mary Ann (Mike) Stokes, Judy (the late Bob) Falk, and Rocky (Josephine) Gilio; her grandchildren, Lisa (Darrin) Kopala, Adam (Tammy) Stokes, Kimberly (Ray) Dunn, Kelly, and Kristen; and her great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Gavin, Kyla, Jacqueline, Sarah, Sophia, and Michael.
Josephine is preceded in death by her parents; and her siblings, Joseph, Rose, Mary, Teresa, Mike, Antoinette, Mildred, Frank, John, Rocco, and Dominick.
Visitation from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass will begin Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis Borgia Church, 8025 W. Addison, Chicago. Entombment is at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
