Phillip F. Scardina

Phillip F. Scardina was born August 28, 1937 in Chicago to Rosario “Roy” and Liboria “Lena” (nee DiRaimondo) Scardina.  He died on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 at the Lexington of Wheeling.

Mr. Scardina was a member and president of Phi Kappa Alpha Fraternity (DePaul University), and a member of the Winchester Sportsmans Club in Lake Villa.  He worked in management for Gallo Wines, Romano Brothers, and Union Liquors.  He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved to dance and teach dancing. 

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Grace C. (nee Campo) Scardina whom he married November 14, 1959; his children, Roy (Maureen) Scardina of Rolling Meadows, Lisa (Fiancé Jon Reynolds) Scardina of Monroe, Wisconsin, Vincent (Renee Chlopek) Scardina of Rolling Meadows, and Paul (Traci) Scardina of Columbia, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Zachary, Anthony, Bryan, Andrew, Joseph, and Louis. 

Phillip is preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights.  Prayers 8:15 AM, Saturday, May 7, 2011 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Colette Church, 3900 Meadow Dr., Rolling Meadows for Mass at 9:00 AM.  Interment is at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside.  

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Multiple Sclerosis Society, 910 W. Van Buren, Fourth Floor, Chicago, IL 60607.
