Longtime resident of Arlington Heights
William James “Jim” Maloney, Sr. was born February 10, 1929 in Chicago to John Sr. and Florence (nee LeBeau) Maloney. He passed away on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.
Mr. Maloney was a Real Estate Appraiser, and a longtime member of St. James Church. He was a private pilot who loved to fly and enjoyed his cabin in Wisconsin with his family and friends, and was a friend to all.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan (nee Randag) whom he married at St. James Church; his children, John (Kim) Maloney, Robert Maloney, Steven (Nancy) Maloney, Mary Jo Maloney; and his grandchildren, Matthew, Dillon, Erin, and Colton.
William is preceded in death by his son, William James Maloney, Jr.; his siblings, Jack and Richard Maloney, and Connie Flynn; and his parents.
Visitation from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, May 24, 2010 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at 12 Noon at St. James Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Interment private.
