John C. Sammons

John C. Sammons was born February 16, 1932 in Evanston to John and Adele (nee Herdrich) Sammons. He died May 25, 2009 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Sammons was a parishioner of St. Edna’s Catholic Church since 1971. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, he particularly enjoyed watching the Cubs. He was also civil war buff.

John is survived by his long time companion Jean Bradley; his former wife Lois Sammons; his children Cynthia (Eric Schwabe) Sammons, Philip (Susan) Sammons and Douglas (Kate) Sammons and by his grandchildren Lauren, Benjamin, Kaitlyn, Jennifer, Sean and Faith.

Visitation Friday, May 29, 2009 from 10 AM until the time of Funeral Mass at 11AM at St. Edna Catholic Church 2525 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Interment will be at St. Peter Cemetery, Skokie.
