Annette Marie Witt
(nee Auer), former
long time resident
of Evergreen Park,
was born December
30, 1920, in
Waupaca, WI. She
passed away May 11,
2009 at Holy Family
Medical Center in
Des Plaines.
Annette was among
the founding
families of Most
Holy Redeemer Parish
in Evergreen Park
and a member of St.
Thomas of Villanova
Parish in Palatine
for the past 20
years. At Most Holy
Redeemer Annette was
the President of the
Altar and Rosary
Society and
cherished school
secretary for 25
years. At St. Thomas
of Villanova,
Annette was a member
of the Women’s Guild
and of the Funeral
Choir. She was very
active in parish
life making blankets
for the Linus
Project and rosaries
for hospitalized
veterans and
American troops
overseas. She
participated in
Bible Studies and
Faith Formation
discussion groups.
Annette never
retired. She
continued as an
account manager at
River Trails Animal
Hospital and was a
partner at Snug
Harbor Marina in
Pentwater, Michigan.
Her Faith in God,
love of family, and
many friends guided
her entire life.
Annette had a
special and loving
devotion to Our Lady
and the Rosary. She
traveled to
Guadalupe,
Medjegoria, the Holy
Land and Rome.
She is survived by
her children,
Raymond W. Witt Jr.,
MD (Candy) of Random
Lake, WI, Ruthann M.
(Raymond) McGrath of
Carmel, IN, Alice C.
Witt of Palatine,
Jack G. Witt of
Ludington, MI, Linda
M. (James) Wyatt of
Arlington Heights
and Geri A. (Andrew)
Cox, DVM of Hawthorn
Woods; 20
grandchildren and 20
great-grandchildren;
and her sister,
Mildred (Michael)
Weber of Kaukauna,
WI.
She was preceded in
death by her
husband, Raymond W.
Witt Sr.; her
brothers, Rev. John
Auer SJ, William (Marcelline)
Auer and Norbert
Auer; and her
sister, Lorraine
Auer.
