Fred Kazuo Ohi
Of Arlington Heights

Fred Ohi was born to George Chiyokichi and Fusano (nee Kubota) Ohi in Los Angeles, California. He died May 5, 2009 at Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Ohi was a 25-year employee of Regensteiner Printing Co. before going on to be an estimating manager with Imperial Printing and TCR Graphics prior to retirement. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of the Estimating Club of the Printing Industry of Illinois Association. He was the Past President and Program Chairperson of the Mens’ Club at the Arlington Senior Center and served actively on the Park Place Advisory Council for many years.

Fred is survived by his wife of over 50 years, Midori Ohi; his daughter Diane (Phil) Iwen of Chicago, and hi s son Douglas (Christine) Ohi of Dillon, Colorado; his grandchildren Max, Gigi and Brady; his brother Paul (Yasuko) Ohi and his nephew Mark.


Visitation Saturday,May 9, 2009 from 1:00 until time of Funeral Service at 3:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to: Arlington Heights Senior Center, 1801 W. Central Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005
