Dana T. Brandstetter
Of Poplar Grove

Dana Terese Brandstetter was a gentle, loving and caring person born March 17, 1973 in Chicago to Stanley and Elaine (nee Poletto) Brandstetter. She died May 29, 2006 at Northwest Community Health Care in Arlington Heights due to complications from her treatment for Hogkin's lymphoma.

Dana was a dedicated nurse who loved family, rainbows, cats and fish. She attended Indian Grove Elementary School and River Trails Jr. High in Mt. Prospect. She graduated from St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights. Dana received a bachelor's degree in psychology from Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. She went on to acquire an associate nursing degree from Harper College in Palatine, IL.

During her high school and college years, Dana treasured working with children as a swimming instructor, lifeguard and camp counselor for the Y.M.C.A. Her career in the health care field began at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights and continued at Northwest Community Hospital were Dana worked as a certified nursing assistant, a licensed practical nurse and
finally a registered nurse. She continued to work at Northwest Community Hospital until her diagnosis of cancer.

Dana enjoyed her family and friends, her career, and her cat, Dusty. She is survived by her parents, Stan and Elaine of Spring Grove, her older brother, Adam of Crystal Lake, her younger brother, Keith of Schaumburg, her nephew Alexander, her dear aunt Clare Zanatta of Chicago and numerous friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Aaron "A.J." Brandstetter.

Visitation from 2:00 PM until 9:00 PM Thursday, June 1, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 AM Friday, June 2, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to Our Lady of the Wayside Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 AM.
