Maryann C. Pasternak
Of Buffalo Grove

Maryann C. Pasternak was born in Chicago on August 5, 1916 to Stanley and Thecla (nee Lechwar) Bloniarz.  She passed away May 21, 2006 in Buffalo Grove.

Maryann volunteered her time at St. Mary School and eventually became a part time school secretary for over 20 years.  She was a lifetime lover of learning and music.  She wrote poetry and enjoyed her daily crossword puzzles.

Maryann was the loving mother of Christine Quinn of Reno, NV, Janet (Leonard) Wade of Buffalo Grove and Michael E. Pasternak of Buffalo Grove, the loved grandmother of Brian Hellesen, Ruth Barstow, Daniel, Alexander and Matthew Wade,  and the dear great-grandmother of Calvin and Rose.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew "Mike", her infant son, Michael John, her brothers, Bill, Adam, Edward and Ted and her sisters, Caroline, Bernice, Estelle and Jean.
 
Visitation from 3 until 9 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights.  Prayers 9:15 AM Thursday, May 25, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., to St. Mary Catholic Church 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at  10:00 AM.  Burial at St. Mary Cemetery.
