Joan M. Slater was born in Chicago on July 9, 1935 to Edmond and Mary (nee Kowalski) Dombrowski.  She passed away May 19, 2006 in Arlington Heights.

She is survived by he husband, Ralph, her children, Cathleen (James) Condit, Sharon Sonderman, Thomas and Stephen (Jacqueline), her grandchildren, Robert, Jennifer, Erik, Daniel and Nicole and her great-grandchild,  Gavin.

Visitation 3-9 PM Monday, May 22, 2006 at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights.  Prayers 9:15 AM Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the funeral home to St. Mary Catholic Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Road, Buffalo Grove for Mass at 10:00 AM.  Interment  St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the American Cancer Society, 100 W. Palatine Rd., Suite #150, Palatine, IL 60067.
