John F. "Jack" Welzenbach Sr. of 1514 Vine St., Arlington Heights, former long time resident of Park Ridge died of natural causes Sunday, May 14.

Jack was an award winning writer and visualist who pioneered the use of electronic media in the Public Relations and Fund Raising industries. Jack's creative communication skills were the driving force behind the building and expansion of Lutheran General, Alexian Brothers, Central DuPage, St. Joseph, St. Francis, Northwest Community and other hospitals in the greater Chicagoland area.

He is survived by his former wife, Mary of Sarasota, his daughter, Jennifer of Denver, his son, John Jr. of Arlington Heights as well as four grandchildren. He will be missed.

Services and interment were held privately.
