Alice E. Schaffer
Of Park Ridge

Alice E. Schaffer, formerly of Greendale, Wisconsin, was born May 7, 1908 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Archibald and Maude (nee Himbert) Middlemas. She died Thursday, May 12, 2005 at St. Matthew Center for Health in Park Ridge, Ill.

Mrs. Schaffer was a sales associate for a retail store before retiring.

Her survivors include her children Kathleen Fischer of Williamsburg, Virginia, Judy (Charles) Platt of Arlington Heights and Jeffrey Schaffer of Auburn, Calif.; her 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and her sister Jean Kozlowski.

Alice is preceded in death by her husband Allen, one grandchild and her sisters Marion Valerio and Besse Clayton.

Visitation Monday, May 16, 2006 from 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, 1234 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Committal service 2:45 PM at Valhalla Memorial Gardens, 5402 N. 91st St., Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Arrangements by the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., Arlington Heights.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. Matthew Center for Health, 1601 N. Western, Park Ridge, IL 60068.
