Arthur James Walz
45 year resident of Elk Grove Village

Arthur James Walz was born November 24, 1929 in Omaha, Nebraska to Arthur J. and Florice (nee Sprague) Walz, Sr. He passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Alexian Brothers Medical Center in Elk Grove Village.

Arthur worked as a Product Manager at Diamed, a division of Illinois Tool Works, until his retirement in January of 1993. He was also a Coast Guard Veteran of the Korean War.

Arthur is survived by his wife, Evelyn (nee Connelly), whom he married May 26, 1956 in Chicago; daughter Mary C. (Jon) Couture of Naperville; sons A. James (Jean) and John R. (Cheryl) both of Elk Grove Village; grandchildren Sarah, Rebecca, Erin and Evan; sisters-in-law Lois O'Connell, Patricia (Thomas) Kearney, Carol (Jack) Hawley, Mary Lou Connelly and Vivian (John) Capalbo; brother-in-law Jack (Mae) Connelly, as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers-in-law Daniel O'Connell, James and Robert Connelly.

Prayers will be held 9:00 AM, Saturday, at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights to Queen of the Rosary Catholic Church, 680 W. Elk Grove Blvd., Elk Grove Village for Mass at 10:00 AM. Visitation Friday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. Burial will be at All Saints Cemetery.
