John A. O'Connor
Of Park City

John O'Connor, formerly of Hoffman Estates, was born October 5, 1949 in Oak Park to Francis and Grace (nee Gagliano) O'Connor. He died May 1, 2005 at St. Theresa Medical Center in Waukegan.

Mr. O'Connor was a retired electronics engineer. He was a very active volunteer in the American Red Cross. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War.

John is survived by his daughters Beth and Annie O'Connor, both of Arlington Heights; his mother Grace O'Connor, of Arlington Heights, his siblings Robert O'Connor, Joanne (Dan) Desmond, Joe (Christine) O'Connor, Mary (Dan)Starbeck), Diane (Bob) Ritter, and Barbara (Jim) Wizniak. He is alsosurvived by many nieces and nephews.

John is preceded in death by his father.

Visitation Tuesday, May 3, 2005 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road., (4 blocks south of Palatine Rd.) Arlington Heights. Prayers Wednesday, May 4, 2005 from 9:15 AM from the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd. proceeding to St. Mary Church, 10 N. Buffalo Grove Rd., Buffalo Grove, for Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Red Cross, 544 W. Northwest Hwy., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
