Sophie Tillie Krambeer
Of Wheeling
Sophie Tillie Krambeer, former longtime resident
of Arlington Heights, was born on December 15,
1919 in Des Plaines, IL to Henry and Sophie (nee
Pagel) Pries. She died Saturday, April 27, 2013
at Lexington of Wheeling.
Mrs. Krambeer worked as a switchboard operator
for The Bank & Trust of Arlington Hts. for many
years. While employed at the Bank, she operated
Krambeer's Catering Service from her home for
over 25 years. She was a member of the Mt.
Prospect Moose Lodge, and a dedicated and active
member at St. Peter Lutheran Church where she
belonged to the Dorcas Aid Society. Sophie was
an avid Bingo player and a dedicated homemaker
who loved to cook.
Sophie is survived by her children Donald
(Fiancée Melanie Stockdale) Krambeer, and Judith
(Joe) Kraus; her grandchildren Lisa (John) Bronn,
Lori (John) Bixler, Ken (Noel) Kraus, Jim
(Kathy) Kraus, Christine (Jay) Klosinski and
David Krambeer; and her seven great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter
Krambeer; her son, Roger Krambeer; her parents;
her four sisters; and her daughter-in-law Judy.
Visitation from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM,
Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home
Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights and Thursday, May 2, 2013 from 9:30 AM
until time of Funeral Service at 10:00 AM at St.
Peter Lutheran Church, 111 W. Olive St.,
Arlington Heights. Burial is at Memory Gardens
Cemetery.
