William H. “Harry” Gorman
Of Arlington Heights
William H. “Harry” Gorman was born in St. John,
New Brunswick, Canada to Walter and Helen (nee
Kean) Gorman. He died Monday, April 8, 2013 at
his home.
Mr. Gorman worked as an underwriter for Kemper
Insurance for over 35 years before he retired in
1983. He was a 4th Degree member of the Knights
of Columbus, Holy Rosary Council #4483 where he
was a Grand Knight, and member of the Elizabeth
Ann Seton Assembly. He was Past President of the
Holy Name Society and formerly a softball coach
St. Edward Church, Chicago, Illinois.
William is survived by his daughters Diane Marie
Gorman, Mary Ellen (Tom) Fuchsel and Eileen
Gorman (Rick) Kozak; his grandchildren Colleen
(Matt) Boro, Mark Kozak, Claire Kozak; his great
grandchildren Noah and James Boro; and his
sister Theresa Phelan and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by wife Kathleen
Josephine Gorman; his grandson Kevin Thomas
Fuchsel; his parents; and his siblings Paul,
Lois, Walter and Donnie Gorman and Kathryn
Murray.
Visitation from 8:30 am until 9:30 am, Saturday,
April 20, 2013 at the Glueckert Funeral Home
Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington
Heights, IL. Prayers 9:30 AM proceeding to St.
James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights
Rd., Arlington Heights, IL for Mass at 10:00 am.
Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside.
