William J. Durham  "Jim"

William J. Durham "Jim" was born on April 10, 1934 in Chicago to Louis and Agnes (nee Marciniak) Durham. He passed Monday, April 8, 2013 at Midwest Hospice in Arlington Heights surrounded by his family.

Jim was a very successful sales manager, who started his own company, KJL Enterprises, Inc. in 1985, which he ran until his retirement in 2003. While he loved cars, golf, cruises and watching the Cubs and Bears, he loved spending time with his family the most. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were a constant source of pride, joy and comfort for him and he loved them very much.

William is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Marilyn; his children, Kathleen (David) Pedersen, Jim (Carol) Durham, and Lori (Paul) Breen; his grandchildren, Christopher (Diana) Pedersen, Jeff (Anna) Pedersen, Colleen, Jimmy and Patrick Durham, and Kelly and Joey Breen; and his great-grandchildren, Julia, Sophia, Elizabeth, and Emily Pedersen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation from 3 pm until 8 pm, Thursday, April 11, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. In state, 10 am, Friday, April 12, 2013 until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Edna Catholic Church, 2525 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights. Burial at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Mercy Home for Boys & Girls, 1140 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, IL 60-607 or the American Cancer Society, 1114 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Masses are also appreciated.
