Robert W. Riek
formerly of Buffalo Grove

Robert W. Riek was born on August 30, 1938 in Pekin to Raymond and Evelyn (nee Behrens) Riek. He passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Hoffman Estates.

Robert retired in 1996 after a 34 year career with Maine Township District 207 where he taught, coached and served as athletics director. After retirement Robert served others through his spiritual gift of “Giving” for mission projects around the world.

Robert is survived by his loving companion, Margaret A. Soltis, his children, Christina Riek and Joshua W. Riek; and his sister, Ame Larson.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ronald R. Riek.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights. Memorial service 10:00 AM Monday, April 8, 2013 at Willow Creek Community Church, 67 E. Algonquin, South Barrington with luncheon to follow. Interment private.
