Joseph Patrick McBride was born on June 7, 1930 in Chicago to Daniel and Margaret Mary (nee O'Sullivan) McBride. He passed away on Monday, April 1, 2013 in Crystal Lake.

Mr. McBride was a graduate of IIT and later received an MBA from the University of Chicago. In 1968 he founded McBride Engineering, a civil engineering and land surveying consulting firm. He was a well-known and respected professional in land development engineering throughout the greater Chicago area.

Joseph is survived by his children, Kevin (Elizabeth) McBride, Terrence (Rose Marie) McBride, Mary Catherine (Michael Madison) McBride, Corinne (Gerard) Baker, Dennis (Sarina) McBride, Geraldine (Sean) Julian, Joseph (Helene) McBride and Davida (Ted) Kozlowski; his grandchildren, Connor, Andrew and Claire McBride, Colleen, Michael and Kevin McBride, Meagan (Ben) Flynn, Daniel, Erin and David Madison, Margaret and Kathryn Baker, Colin and Anna McBride, Bridget, Maura and Jack Julian, Nicole, Madeline and Ryan McBride, Emmett, Maureen and Cailin Kozlowski; his great-grandchildren, Katelyn and Anna Flynn; his brother, William (Joanne) McBride; and many loving nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores McBride (nee Keegan) and his siblings, Daniel McBride, Michael McBride and Peggy Evans.

Visitation from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., Arlington Heights. Prayers 8:45 am Monday, April 8, 2013 at the Funeral Home, proceeding to Our Lady of the Wayside Catholic Church, 440 S. Mitchell, Arlington Heights for Mass at 9:30 am. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
