Roger A. Pedersen
Of Arlington Heights

Roger Alan Pedersen was born on April 26, 1936 in Chicago to George and Irene (nee Clausen) Pedersen. He died Monday, April 1, 2013 in Arlington Heights.

Mr. Pedersen worked as a teacher in Des Plaines and Mt. Prospect for 36 years. In retirement, he worked as a compounder for Keefer's Pharmacy in Mt. Prospect for the past 10 years. He was an avid photographer, reader and gardener. Roger loved to travel, be with his grandchildren and was proud of his Scandinavian heritage.

Roger is survived by his spouse of 48 years, Karen (nee Yell) Pedersen; his children, Kirsten (Paul) Bray, and Erik (Megan) Pedersen; his grandchildren, Colin Pedersen, Heather Bray, Joshua Bray, Maggie Blaski, Rory Bray, Jakob Pedersen, Victoria Pedersen; his brother, George (the late Carol) Pedersen; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial visitation, Tuesday, April 2, 2013 from 6 pm until 9 pm at Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., Arlington Heights, where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at 11am.
