Anthony Geisel
Of Arlington Heights
Anthony Geisel was born on June 17, 1925 in Elek, Hungary to Michael and
Anna (nee Schneider) Geisel. He died Friday, April 13, 2012 in Arlington
Heights.
He worked as a biomedical engineer at Elmhurst Memorial Hospital in
Elmhurst. He loved to garden and was an avid chess player. Tony was also
an inventor and held numerous patents.
Tony is survived by his brother, Joseph (Roberta) Geisel; his nephews,
Ryan (Barbara) Schreier, Joseph (Patty) Geisel, Richard (Charity)
Geisel; his nieces, Linda (A.T.) Castillo, Karen (Douglas) Plager and
his brother-in-law, Adam Schreier.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Theresa Schreier
and step-mother, Franziska Geisel.
Visitation Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 9:00 until time of prayers at
10:30AM at Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road,
Arlington Heights. Funeral Mass, 11:00AM, Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at St.
James Catholic Church, 831 N. Arlington Heights Rd., Arlington Heights,
Illinois. Entombment at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Alzheimer’s Assn. of
Greater Chicago, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr, Suite 800, Chicago, IL 60631.
