Wesley Richard Dormanen
Of Mt. Prospect

Wesley Richard Dormanen was born on June 30, 1923, in Menahga, Minnesota to Richard and Ina Olsen (nee Hendrickson) Dormanen. He passed away on April 16, 2011.

Wesley served in the Army as a Paratrooper during WWII and received a Purple Heart.

He is survived by his children, Barbara (Albert) Marle of Salida, CO, Diane (Roger) Kurzawski of Mt. Prospect, Darryl (Joyce) Dormanen of Chicago and Cheryl (Chris) Wimberly of Algonquin; his nine grandchildren, Albert, Peter, Nicole, Adam, Jamie, Brian, Tony, Dana and Kevin; one great grandchild, Carsen Hunter; and his sister, Elsie Heyer of Minneapolis, MN.

Wesley was preceded in death by his wife, Elna Dormanen.

Visitation Wednesday, April 20, 2011 from 3:00 until 9:00 PM at the Glueckert Funeral Home, Ltd., 1520 N. Arlington Heights Road, (4 blocks south of Palatine Road) Arlington Heights. Committal service 10:00 AM Thursday, April 21, 2011 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
